Description

Solitude is an island lifestyle apparel brand that since its formation by surf icon Shaun Tomson and wife designer Carla Tomson has generated hundreds of millions of dollars in sales. Principal competitors were Tommy Bahama, Reyn Spooner, Kahala and Quiksilver Waterman collection. The product was initially distributed in best of class department stores, surf, resort and outdoor stores. In 2005 an exclusive deal was signed with JC Penney to distribute the product in 1,000 stores for a four year period.
