Subject: Cuproban™ – Trademark Licensing/Ownership & MGPS/ANODE Supply Opportunity

Dear Sir/Madam,

I trust you are keeping well

I am writing as Director of Cuproban Systems Ltd (UK), the originator and sole owner of the Cuproban™ trademark used in marine growth prevention systems (MGPS).

Cuproban Systems has operated globally since 1985 and remained an established manufacturer and supplier of MGPS equipment until 1991, when a ten‑year distribution agreement was entered into with Jotun Cathodic Protection – Jotun AS.

Since 1988 the technology has then been supplied to shipyards/ operators/owners of Cruise and Merchant ships, Ferries,Rigs, Platforms around the world. Operators include Princess Cruises, P&O, Sedco Forex, Transocean, Chevron,Carnival Cruise Lines, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Norwegian Cruise Lines,Smedvig,Shell International, Kvaerner Yards, Oldendorff Reederei, J.Lauritzen, Wallenius Line, Superfast Ferries, V-Ships, Scanlines, Finnlines, Seebeck Werft, HDW, Daewoo, Dalian Yard, Zhangzhou Shipping, Jaingsu Yangzijaing Yard, Hellenic Shipyard, Halle Eng., Gdansk Shipyard, Mitsubishi HI., Guangzhou Yard/A.P.Moller, Hyundai Mipo Yard, F.A.Detjen, Hatachi Zosen, Samsung H I, Leif Hoegh, Searex, CSBC, Chantiers D’Atlantique, Majesty Cruise Lines, and over 300 systems installed worldwide.

That arrangement ended in 2001 and subject to further negotiations, until later in 2006 it became abundantly clear that the jointly developed global customer base of Cuproban was also being redirected through another competing supplier.

In 2007, Cuproban Systems Ltd then granted a further limited licence to Sargam Metals Private Ltd in India for manufacture of MGPS antifouling and corrosion‑control equipment marketed exclusively through Cuproban Systems Singapore. This licence finally expired in 2014 and has never been renewed, extended or reassigned, although despite this, Cuproban‑branded MGPS products have continued to appear in the market including by some unlicensed channels which in future will now require an outright acquisition or a license.

A verified historical customer list of sales covering the period from 1985 to the present can be provided. Cuproban Systems Ltd is now taking steps to regularise the market and ensure that the Cuproban brand is supplied only through a authorised and reputable manufacturer/supplier of MGPS/SACP and/or an appointed licensed distributor.

Opportunities for Collaboration – I would welcome a discussion with your organisation regarding any of the following:

• Acquisition of Cuproban Systems Ltd (UK) • Acquisition or licensing of Cuproban™ UK/EU Trademarks
• Manufacture & supply Cuproban‑brand MGPS/ANODE SPARES
• Manufacture and supply of generic MGPS anode spares
• Review of historical and current customer data
• Exclusive or non‑exclusive distribution arrangements

What Cuproban Systems Ltd Can Provide
• Verified historical customer lists (1974–2025)
• All Current known users supplied indirectly via
unauthorized channels
• Technical background, product specifications, and
Operation Manuals
• A clear and enforceable trademark position

If this is of interest, I would be pleased to arrange an initial discussion.

Yours sincerely,

Barry Kirk – Director – Cuproban Systems Ltd (UK)
